Lodge St. George No. 200 is located in the Islands of Bermuda, and is under the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. Lodge St. George is the oldest chartered Lodge of all the Lodges operating in Bermuda, and the oldest Scottish lodge outside of Scotland. Lodge St. George received its Warrant on August 7, 1797.
Lodge St. George is situated in the quaint little Town of St.
George, the original
capital of Bermuda, in the Old
State House, the building that was the former Sessions House,
the oldest stone
building in Bermuda, dating back to 1612. This building was given to
the Lodge to
use as a lodge room in perpetuity, for the annual rent of one
peppercorn.
